About Us
SteppingStone, also known as North & South of Market Adult Day Health, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates three Adult Day Health Care Centers, serving San Francisco residents. We are licensed by the California Department of Public Health and certified as a Medi-Cal provider by the California Department of Aging.

Founded in 1983 in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco we are now the largest provider of adult day health care in the city, providing over 50,000 service days each year and serving over 350 clients. SteppingStone is also one of the largest providers of Enhanced Care Management in San Francisco.
Our Infrastructure
SteppingStone is a key part of the health care infrastructure of SF, working closely with many partner organizations and agencies. We also maintain an active advocacy presence and are deeply involved with the Coalition of Agencies Serving the Elderly (CASE), the Dignity Fund Coalition, and the California Association for Adult Day Services (CAADS).
