Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center
Providing Enhanced Care for People with Alzheimer’s
SteppingStone operates an Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center to provide enhanced care for our program participants. It is based within our Mission Creek Center, operating Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM and Friday 7:30 to 11:30 AM.

In addition to all the care programs provided through adult day health care, participants in the Alzheimer’s program receive additional care. This includes a high level of staff support and often one-on-one care.
The goal of the program is to provide highly individualized, appropriate care to participants in a safe space. Both group and individual activities are designed for people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Activities include music therapy, word and matching games, singing, dancing, walks and art projects. Program participants can also join regular Center activities if they wish to do so.
Through the program participants are able to get to know each other and have a sense of community both within the program and the larger care Center.

The Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center is a program for SteppingStone clients and is only available to participants at the Mission Creek Center at this time.
The Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center is undertaken in partnership and with the support of the San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging Services.
